Charles "CW" Wright

An industry innovator Charles "CW" Wright is the Founder of EMS Global One, Emergency Disaster Systems, Property Guard International, Rose Eagle Foundation and the Originator of the EDS System© for disaster preparation. He has received multiple awards and recognitions from local, state, and federal authorities including Los Angeles County for his nineteen years of distinguished service to the emergency management industry.

In a recent interview CW said, “I’m just beginning! We have standards we live by in this industry.  Complying with those standards are design to keep safe environments. Therein lies a problem, I see,…Compliance does not necessarily mean competent.  Compliance meets the standard.  Competence sets it!”

It started with a phone call from a client in 1989.  Then came calls from Japan, New York, Thailand, Europe and New Orleans.  In between calls came research, consulting, education, planning, conferences, and associations.  Result?

EMS Global One Inc., Emergency Management Solutions around the Globe.

His forte is developing innovative emergency operations plans and services for health care institutions, enterprises, the private sector, communities across the United States and Fortune 500 companies.  Some of his recognizable achievements include Toyota's North American Operations, Kaiser Permanente, Catholic Healthcare, and Yamaha Corporation.

CW created the EDS System©, an inventory control system with a specific function designed for equipment and supplies to be in a constant ready position.  The System increases speed at which a first responder can react, reducing personal and business losses by minimizing recovery time.

CW has completed more than 74 certified disaster mitigation courses from leading authorities including the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) and Emergency Management Institute (EMI).  He has consulted CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) trainers and drilled with them and emergency managers throughout the United States in all facets of emergency preparedness and business-continuity.  He is a member of the National Emergency Management Association (NEMA) and the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) preparing for the Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification.  Mr. Wright has received countless accolades and recognition from local, county, state governments and private industry including LA County OES and California OES for his distinguished service to the disaster mitigation and emergency preparedness industry and for his contributions in benchmarking disaster preparedness standards.

He sold off PGI assets in mid 2006 to focus his consultant/professional speaking to the industry.  He now tours the country speaking on emergency management planning and techniques, including the four phases of emergency management, with his moniker, "You make the difference between life saved or life gone."

"I am committed to protecting our communities and children's lives from the devastating aftermath of a catastrophic event."
